With aims of monitoring the actions underway and participating in the discussions for future Odebrecht Foundation projects, on May 26 and 27, the Chair of the foundation’s Board of Trustees, Emílio Alves Odebrecht, Board Member Renato Baiardi, Executive Secretary of the Odebrecht S.A. Board of Directors, Edgard Teles, responsible for Sustainability at Odebrecht S.A., Sérgio Leão, Executive Chair of the Odebrecht Foundation, Eduardo Odebrecht de Queiroz, and foundation leaders traveled to the Bahia Southern Lowlands to visit the institutions that are part of the Program for Development and Growth Integrated with Sustainability (PDCIS).

At the Rural Family Homes, Emílio Odebrecht emphasized that the work undertaken with the youth is effective and should always be improved. “The monitoring reveals the youths’ commitment to the community and to their own success,” said Emílio Odebrecht. “They are working hard for what is theirs. The idea is to improve the work that is already being done,” he said. According to him, the opportunities focused on education and the generation of work and income are the main promises for transforming the reality of the Bahia Southern Lowlands.

In addition to the board members, also present were Graciela Mends Ribeiro Reis, Vice Chair of Organization & Governance at the Odebrecht Foundation, Delcy Machado Filho, Vice Chair of Operations and Sustainability at PDCIS, and Joaquim Cardoso Filho, Advisor to the foundation’s Executive Chair
