On May 6, students from Family Homes supported by the Odebrecht Foundation through the PDCIS Program gathered for the Integrated Professional Education Seminar (SIEP), held at the Igrapiúna Rural Family Home (CFR-I), in the municipality with the same name, in Bahia.
During this edition, the activities addressed the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the importance of leguminous plants. The themes were prioritized by the United Nations (UN) to be developed in 2016 by the UNESCO Associated Schools – of which CFR-I, the Presidente Tancredo Neves Rural Family Home (CFR-PTN) and Agroforest Family Home (Cfaf) are part.
For Joana Almeida, the foundation’s Educational Coordinator, the topics developed are important for those involved to continue forward on a sustainable path through transformative attitudes. “What we are doing today is a synergistic construction that will affect the present and the future,” said Almeida.
