For the second time, the Casa Jovem State High School (CECJ), located in Igrapiúna, Bahia, received the “Solidary School” Seal, which identifies, recognizes and strengthens Brazilian institutions as centers for citizenship in their own communities.

Associated with the Bahia Southern Lowlands Environmental Protection Area Mosaic Integrated and Sustainable Development Program, supported by the Odebrecht Foundation, the teaching unit is the only state educational center in the region to earn the seal.

The recognition was possible through the presentation and submission of two projects: “Learning My Place,” in which the teachers and students visited the communities to promote the recognition of their own cultural identity, and “Medicinal Garden,” which helps create an organic production chain for medicinal plants.
