The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) selected the Terramiga Program as one of the seven initiatives that will represent it to compete in the Development Impact Honors Competition.The award, granted by the U.S. Treasury Department, recognizes high impact projects for social development.

Thirty actions signed up with IDB.Terramiga stood out for the significant results that it has already achieved, in addition to the wealth of audiovisual records.From 2006 to 2010, the program benefited the cooperatives associated with the Bahia Southern Lowlands Environmental Protection Area Mosaic Integrated and Sustainable Development Program (PDIS), supported by the Odebrecht Foundation.

The Igrapiúna Rural Family Home (CFR-I) – a teaching unit that is also part of PDIS – also celebrated its nomination as finalist for the Banco do Brasil Foundation Social Technology Award.CFR-I, which entered the project “Training of Young Rural Entrepreneurs,” is part of a group of 27 selected from the 264 projects that meet the criteria set out in the public notice. In all, there were 1,116 projects entered.The awarded project will be announced on November 22 in Brasília (DF).
